Long Beach’s positive early start faded to a distant memory this week as the Lobsters claimed a sub-.500 record with 8 straight losses.  At 24-31, the Lobsters are currently in 5th place, 8 games behind the division leading Edmonton Orcas.

The Sydney Rebels are back in the thick of the Polanski Division thanks to a 6-game winning streak.  While the offense continues to struggle at a .239 Avg clip, the pitching has really stepped up.  In 6 games this week, Rebels pitchers posted a 1.67 ERA with 37 strikeouts in 54 innings pitched.
