Enough with the injuries already:

STO P Tomokazu Yasuda (tender shoulder) is day-to-day (severity = 8%).
STO 3B Joe Netzel (tight knee) is day-to-day (severity = 9%).
STO P Arlie Archer (inflamed triceps) is expected OUT up to a week.
STO P Goran Lekovic (strained rotator cuff) is day-to-day (severity = 18%).
STO 1B Niles Burris (inflamed anterior cruciate ligament) went on the DL May 5 and is expected OUT 3-4 months.

That's #2 Starter, Leadoff 3b, Best Reliever, 2nd best reliever, and All Star 1b 5 hole hitter all injured in the last 2 sims.

Still went 7-0 this sim...and managed to pull even with CairoHuh

So over in the PFBL, my star SS just came back from a month on the DL with broken ribs. Fifth game of the sim he gets hit by a pitch and is OUT 4-6 weeks with a broken jaw. Oh, and it's mid-September.

Oh your best player that was 58-48-59 at age 23 and shouldn't have even been ACT yet?? Especially with Balmaceda at C

He wasn't a really great prospect either because he only jumped 13CH, and 7 PH from the year before.

No, this is what is really difficult.

2031, best record in Weaverball. October 3rd, 3 days left in the season and I kid you not, during the same game, Cairo loses BOTH of these players for the ENTIRE Playoffs.

1B Joe Vidal and 1B/DH Justin Stone.

That was a hit of 76 homers, 170+ RBI's, etc.

What happened you asked? The Mounties swept us in the first round.

The total run differential for the 4-game sweep? 5 Runs. Taking a look at the "Runs Created" stat for those 2 guys, that amounts to 1.5 runs a game missing.

You can do the math Smile I am still bitter.

Luckily I swept 8-straight throughout the playoffs the next year to win the title.

2041 - Worst Team Ever 16 wins, 146 losses

in a similar vein, we lost 3B Baumann in the last couple of weeks of the season, for the duration of the playoffs, two years in a row when we were a playoff team in the 20's or 30's (I have tried to erase that memory).

Greinke gets hurt all the time, especially when it matters most. In 2043 he was injured during his first start in the post season, then came back in the WS, but got injured again before the series ended.

But we still won the cup that year, so whatever.
