a bit late, but always nice to have a placeholder for random chat throughout the season. does Alabama have a legit challenger at all this year? Auburn or maybe Orgeron-led LSU?

There’s a Lobster festival in Long Beach? Hahaha! I’ve honestly never heard of that.

The Iron Bowl is always a toss-up. Other than that, no. Bama has a ridiculously easy schedule, even in SEC play.

the short field goal finish will probably be the greatest end to a football game i'll ever see in my lifetime.

i'd really like to see the P5 conferences do away with the championship games, expand the playoffs to 8, and move to a more round-robin type scheduling (no more patsy games). i guess if people are worried about player health, move it to a healthy scratch type system (team plays 14 games, but a player could only play 10). NFL kept talking about expanding their season, the scratch system seems perfect for that type of setup. Would definitely stress the importance of having a strong depth chart.

Georgia had the best chance. You see what happened to them. Crown the champion now. No need to do the playoffs.
