Not gonna lie, I have no idea what Slack is, but it vaguely sounds like something that I should and probably have heard of.  TO GOOGLE...

Nope, Google confirms that I’ve never heard of it before.  I thought maybe it was the parent company for that Slacker radio app but it is not.

slack, basically Searchable Log of All Communications.
I haven't used it (at all really yet) but it kind of seems like archived AIM.

i wouldn't want to use it extensively because i like that the forum archives most of our banter, but it could come in really handy during drafts.  folks would download the app (or login to the browser)... then when messages get posted, it would hit your phone immediately.  we don't really do live drafts anymore but i can see how this might be a neat option.

You could also use an app like GroupMe, or maybe Discord.

On the drive home yesterday, I was thinking of potential ways to keep the draft flowing (and how to maybe use slack).
Wonder if a mix of list (day) and pod (night) drafting would work.

Pod drafting?  What's that?  Basically, near the end of the workday, I'd reach out to owners of the next 4-6 picks, and tell them, I'll be available for "live" drafting on slack for 1hr, say 10p-11p ET.  If owners replied "yeah i'd be ready to make my pick in that window" then we could get through a big chunk of picks quickly, and people would get to make those last minute adjustments to draft strategy that everybody loves.

That said, anybody super-indecisive or still wanting to continue with trade talks would torpedo this idea but given the right set of circumstances, we could go through selections really fast.
