ANALYSIS & PREDICTIONS

IL LOCKWOOD
With 14 games to go, it will be difficult for New York to try to knock off Panama off the top of the division. New York can make up the half game in the first series, but considering Panama City has won all 15 games against Cozumel (their upcoming opponent) this year, I have to give it to PANAMA CITY in 3.5 games due to the extra game for New York.

BL BARNES
This pennant race is anyone's guess at this point. Entebbe has managed to get back into first place in the division, but losing P Robbie He for the year (including playoffs) will make keeping that lead more difficult still. What else makes this interesting is the fact that they face each other in the second series. Considering that they face similarly-equipped teams in the first series, then each other, if you give both the first series' win, then split their head-to-head matchup, that still leaves a two-game lead. What will make things interesting is the next series for Calabria at Stockholm. With Entebbe facing Hong Kong-a more proficient team at the moment-that lead could easily either flip back in Calabria's favor or at least make it closer. However, with Calabria ending the season at home against Cairo, and Entebbe's last two opponents being the bottom two teams in their division, I for right now lean more towards ENTEBBE in 11 games. This could flip or change at any time, so stay tuned.

BL ROEHM
This division race could get interesting quickly. With Jamaica having 4 games against Rio (.250 winning percentage) in their first series and Long Beach facing Edmonton (.530 winning percentage), that could slim the lead down by a few games. Then they face each other, which would be a prime opportunity for Jamaica to make up even more ground. However, even if Jamaica wins out the first two series and Long Beach loses the series against Edmonton, Long Beach's ending schedule is against the bottom three teams in the division (all with winning percentages less than .400), whereas Jamaica's schedule closes out at Edmonton. Even though Long Beach has not dominated in-division opponents like Jamaica has (and even with Jamaica owning the series lead at 9-6), I will give this to LONG BEACH in 8.5 games.

Give your own predictions, and whoever gets closest to the actual Final Four will win the internets...until the last club stands as the winner of the Weaver Cup. And that one's for all the marbles.

heh, had to look it up, the '41 weaver series.  crazy to think that was 16 seasons, roughly 6 years ago or so...

Did some digging around and found a couple of interesting points.  First, yeah if I win both head to head games against Tony then it's pretty much over.  However, if he wins even one of those contests, it would put Calabria in position to win any tiebreaker scenario, thus forcing Entebbe to have to win outright.  The second point is that between Hong Kong and Cairo it actually benefits us to be playing the Scorpions for just 2 games as they have been the thorn in our side despite the Dragons having a better overall record.

You having the two-game lead really puts the pressure on Calabria. Either put up or go home!
